Windows 11 24H2 little iussue after forced update

Good morning, on my PC I had the 23H2 version of Windows 11 and I had not yet received the notification to download the 24h2. So I forced the search for the update by inserting the 24H2 version in administrative templates (in the management of updates offered by Windows Update - target functionality). Once this was done, the update was found and installed regularly. After that I deactivated that tab of the administrative templates as it was previously. But now, when I try to check in Windows Update for new updates, the "get the latest updates as soon as they are available" section is grayed out. How can I restore it? Is it a problem? Thx

I read the whole procedure and I hope I don't run into any other inconveniences. The very strange thing is that the item "get new updates immediately as soon as they are available" is grayed out, but enabled. As if the system, having revealed a version of Windows "24H2" that it had not genuinely proposed, wanted to interrupt the subsequent downloads. Is it possible?

I use WAU Manager to take over from Windows Update, it’s why I am on a lower build than some others. I have frozen updates past the initial 24H2 download. It’s lightweight and simple to use.

After checking the small box at the top to allow WAU Manager to take over, checking the “Normal” option below it, you can click Update Windows Now and it will show you the available updates before proceeding. You can chose not to proceed or select updates to install.
It can also uninstall updates.
If you run it first and let it take control, you are in control.

Good morning, first of all I would like to thank all those who kindly replied to me. Both methods you proposed are identical (the .bat files execute the same instructions). However, they do not solve what I was faced with (get the latest updates immediately as soon as they are available, enabled but grayed out). The thing was simpler than expected: simply open the "enable optional updates" tab (the first at the top in the gpedit update criteria) and enable the third item: "Users can select optional updates to receive". Immediately the "get the latest updates immediately as soon as they are available" text went from gray to normal again. Probably having "directed" (forced) the update to windows 24h2 "overridden" the possibility of getting updates as soon as they are available (it makes sense!!!). And to re-enable the function, it was not enough to just disable the tab that forced the search for a given version of Windows, but it was necessary to activate, precisely, the tab related to optional updates, which, precisely, in its third option also enables updates as soon as they are available. Now I only have one question: when I ran your .bat files, the UAC was also reset. Is it also part of the "gpedit"? Were the .bat files not only related to the restoration of the windows update section in the group policies? Or of the entire gpedit? If so, what else could I have reset?
