You should only enable SMBv1 if you're communicating with a really old client (pre-Vista Windows) or a device that doesn't support newer versions, such as most home routers. SMBv2 has been around since Vista, so anything of that ilk or newer should not need SMBv1. SMBv1 has been off by default since Windows 10 1709.
