Windows 11 installed now no sound

Welcome to the forum 
Right click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select
Click on
For all of the other devices that may be listed, click on them and make sure you click on
While you are at
If the above fail to help, then right click on the
Expand
Also check that your sound card drivers are properly installed under
Reboot the PC and let Windows reinstall the drivers.

Sound settings or go to Settings > System > Sound.Click on
All sound devices and then click on the correct sound output device, click on Allow so that it reads Don't Allow then click on the Test button to make sure it is working.For all of the other devices that may be listed, click on them and make sure you click on
Don't allow so that it shows the Allow button.While you are at
Settings > System > Sound, you may also click on Output devices beside Troubleshoot common sound problems.If the above fail to help, then right click on the
Start menu and select Device Manager.Expand
Audio inputs and outputs and make sure your speakers or audio output device is listed. Right click on the device and then select Uninstall device.Also check that your sound card drivers are properly installed under
Sound, video and game controllers. If not, then right click on your sound card and select Uninstall device.Reboot the PC and let Windows reinstall the drivers.

If your motherboard manufacturer has audio drivers you can simply try re-installing those.
If that does not help, then open a CMD window and type in:

In Device Manager under System devices I have found that Intel (R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED is not working.
Unable to roll back to previous version.

Go here and let HP automatically find drivers for your HP Laptop.
Check also device manager what's showing under 'sound, video and game controllers' for any exclamation marks.
