Windows 11 issue?

What type of storage controller is that motherboard using? Acer specs are a bit hard to find.
Go to Device Manager > Click on the little arrow beside Disk Drives. Select your main operating system drive.
Go to the View menu and select Devices by Connection. It will show you what controller it is connected to.

Then have a look at the driver date and version.
I didn't find a 'view menu' option. Please clarify.

There is no Lds but there is a legacy bus type (LBS)?

Or did you mean this:

That's it, but it would have been easier to simply paste the top line instead of me having to convert it to text.
I am very sure that I have a very current driver, but I like to cross check the Hardware ID before I offer updated drivers.

I have wrapped the download in code. I am not sure about the forum rules with live links.
You just have to copy and past & go the link into a browser address bar and download it.
Then extract it on your hard drive somewhere and update it via Device Manager.

You'll have to reboot after doing that.

"Host process for Windows Services", should never stop working.
svchost.exe is one of the main Windows programs. It pretty much runs everything.
The Event Viewer can be found by right clicking the Start button and choosing: Event Viewer.

IF you decide it's a Windows problem, you might want to try an In-Place upgrade.
This will fix most all Windows problems.

Here is the short version of the In-place upgrade tutorial...

DISABLE non-Microsoft:
a) antivirus software
b) firewall software
c) drive encryption software

Make a full OS backup with a program like Macrium Reflect (free)
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

Go here and get the Windows 11 ISO (use the 3rd option), and save the ISO to your desktop.
Download Windows 11

View attachment 15746

Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will look like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.

The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations. Your programs and data will be intact.
I will do this as a last resort.

That's it, but it would have been easier to simply paste the top line instead of me having to convert it to text.
I am very sure that I have a very current driver, but I like to cross check the Hardware ID before I offer updated drivers.
I am sorry, I didn't know you had to go through this process. My bad. I will try your solution. Thank you.

I have wrapped the download in code. I am not sure about the forum rules with live links.
You just have to copy and past & go the link into a browser address bar and download it.
Then extract it on your hard drive somewhere and update it via Device Manager.

You'll have to reboot after doing that.
I turned off windows firewall and still got this message in edge and firefox.

Hmmm… can't reach this page

How do I put the backup image into thumb drive and make thumb drive bootable?

You don't.
You make a bootable USB with just the rescue media. So you can still access your backups if Windows won't boot.

The backup itself you make and store on a different drive. It'll be 1/2 the size of w/e is on the C:\ drive.

The first 4 pics, are just how to make the backup.
The 5th pic is how to make the Rescue media.

I'm guessing the Toshiba is the storage drive. Put the backup on there.
The steps on those pics are numbered.
Step #2 is where to tell Macrium where to save (store) the backup.

The rescue media, is just a bootable copy of the Macrium program.
That way, if Windows won't boot... you can boot from the Rescue Media, and restore your backup.

I have about 40GB on my C:\ drive (Windows). So when I make a backup, it's about 20GB in size.
It takes me 2 minutes 30 seconds, to make a FULL backup.
