My computer randomly restarts for no apparent reason.

Also, my screen occasionally flickers on and off.

I don't know why but the flickering stops when I run a defender virus scan?

These things never happened with windows 10.

Are these windows 11 problems?

Mine did that this morning also. Is yours a supported device? This Win 11 is running on an unsupported device. I never had the problem with Win 10 either.

Have you checked in Device Manger to see if there is a problem with any drivers?

Does the Taskbar briefly disappear when it flickers?
No. It just flickers to blackness for between 5 and 10 in random intervals of 30 second to 5 minutes.

To me it does sound like a problem with the driver for the video card. I would check the Acer site or the manufacturer of the video card and see if they have an updated driver.

My computer randomly restarts for no apparent reason.

I just updated firmware and video, wireless, and blutooth drivers. And five minutes later it restarted again.

Is it a firmware problem or windows 11 issue?
