I have my pc set up to not ask for a password when logging in will it auto boot into windows without asking the password

I've done it a few times on Win 10 and on Win 11.
The 1st time I did it was on Win 10, to get from 1909 to 2004.

Use Option Two (ISO method)

Here is the short version of the In-place upgrade tutorial...

DISABLE non-Microsoft:
a) antivirus software
b) firewall software
c) drive encryption software

Get the Windows 11 ISO (Option #1), and save it to your desktop...

Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will "look" like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the In-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.

The ONLY thing you might lose is some of your personalizations.
Your drivers, programs and data will be intact.

When it's all done, type: winver in the Taskbar search box and take a screenshot.
If you're on a Microsoft account, make sure to hide your email address on the screenshot.

It should look something like this...

You created an ISO with the Media creation tool?

If so... then do this...

Go here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate ....and post a screenshot.

If you previously set a "Target Version", the In-Place upgrade probably won't work.

If you see a TargetReleaseVersionInfo (like the yellow highlight), then change the line above (TargetReleaseVersion), from 1 to 0

Let's back up a bit...

Get WhyNotWin11.exe and save it to your desktop.
Run it and post a screenshot.

I know you're already on Win 11, but please do it anyway.

The only other thing(s) I can think of are...
1. Not enough free space on your Windows drive (partition).
2. Or maybe something to do with Storage Sense (which I refuse to use)
3. Or maybe something to do with your Quadro card

How much free space do you have on your C:\ drive (Windows partition)?

In File Explorer, right click the Windows 11 drive and choose: Properties.

That sort of defeats the purpose of a clean install.
Now that you've been an Eleven Forum member for a while, you should be able to do the Clean Install, and then reinstall your programs, cleanly.

Since you're on a laptop, I highly recommend exporting your drivers before doing a clean install.

As for things you have in folders, you could save them to another drive.
I'd also recommend not using Acronis True Image any more.
I had used it for years, but Win 10 and Win 11 aren't too happy with Acronis.

Yes, as long as they are backed up to an external disk first so you have a source for restoring them - this would be essential.
If you store your own files on internal drives other than the Windows drive, they would probably survive the clean install anyway but I always back them up anyway.

I used it for about 6 years.
I think the last version I liked was the 2010 version.
When I first installed Win 10, I noticed how bloated it was.

So I tried to uninstall it, with the Acronis removal tool. It broke Windows a bit after the uninstall.

And... if Macrium doesn't get back to lifetime pricing... when MR 8.1 dies, I'll probably switch to Hasleo.

My favorite backup software of all time, was Norton Ghost 2003.

My all time favorite was Powerquest Drive Image 7 which became the basis for Norton Ghost 9.0 which is when I switched to Acronis and (version 2012) is three times the size of Macriun 8. Before those I used Colorado Backup which became something else that windows used in (i think) win-98 and that only lasted a few years when I switched to Powerquest
