Check to see if you got the latest update today: Definition Updates KB2267602 (Version 1.429.138.0) and Platform Update KB5007651 (Version 10.0.27840.1000).

If not, go ahead and do the Reset/Clear on Windows Update.

WD is working ok now ..... - after I ran the: "Reset Windows Defender signature update package" see post #2. thanks also have a page full of WD updates KB2267602 (Version 1.429.48.0)
