Hello, I just downloaded the 25H2 ISO with Microsoft's MediaCreationTool, in French. I did a clean install on a virtual machine. Windows is in French, but the Windows Security Center is in English. Why ? (See screenshot).
I tried the second method, downloading the ISO file directly, and it's the same !
I tried the installation on a computer, and the same thing happens again. I don't understand. Is this a bug ?

Or maybe I think Microsoft forgot to translate it !

Hello, I don't understand. Is this a bug ?
How else could you explain it? I don't understand what's there not to understand.

But you are not giving the version of Windows you are using and your screenshot shows no internet connection.
Maybe updates are pending that may fix the bug.
It is not a bad idea to put your system specs in your profile as well.

I'm using the official ISO, version 26200.6584.
It's not a matter of internet connection : normally, when you do a clean install, everything is already in French. With the 24H2 ISO that I kept, everything is correct and already in French. It should be the same with 25H2, even if the updates haven't been made yet. Is it possible that Microsoft forgot the translations ?

OK, you know best not to run updates.
You might consider filing the bug on Feedback Hub then.

It's possible, I tried downloading the ISO both ways, and I noticed the same thing in both cases. Maybe other users will notice the same thing, maybe you too, if you want to try...

try the second comment's solution - confirm language pack settings, then run win update and reboot:

I use French, which is the only default language. I agree that updates are necessary, and the update did restore the French language. But is it normal that the language didn't match before the update ? I'm not sure...

You said it was not a matter of internet connection, didn't you?
My first suggestion in the first answer to your post of this thread told you what was needed.
But you quickly discarded it and now you are shifting the topic by asking 'Is it normal?'.

I don't think anyone really understood my request. Maybe I didn't explain myself well either. Basically, I want to create a clean, custom installation with sysprep, in French. The user, who won't necessarily be me, and who will be using the PC for the first time, with or without internet, might be surprised to have the Windows Security Center in English. And since I like everything to be perfect, I'm trying to find out if it's possible to have the Windows Security Center in French, offline.
I think I'll contact Microsoft support instead.

more than likely they'll give you the same (or nearly same) response as what they gave the other person in the link i shared.
if updates fixed it, get a more updated iso from uupdump and try the reinstall. will prob work

I'm also afraid of their response. However, I haven't tried uupdump. I might start with that, thanks !

Security Center is a built-in UWP app. All UWP apps are required to be internationalized.

It could be a problem related to sysprep. If you created a new local account, does that user also get Security Center in English?

Yes, the user still has access to the Security Center in English. But this is not a problem with Sysprep, because even if I do a classic clean install, by default the Windows Security Center is in English.

However, I resolved the issue by downloading the latest version with uupdump. I now have an ISO that installs entirely in French, including the Windows Security Center.

I have seen a similar bug if I have an English US Windows version and I add Greek as display language. Sometimes not everything is switched to Greek because there are mixed English and Greek system files (not everything replaced properly). However, after checking Windows Update, installing new updates and a couple of restarts later, everything is in Greek. I believe you have the same issue. Just run Windows Update, install new updates, restart and it should be fixed. If you only have few applications, you can also backup your files and do a clean Windows 11 installation using the French ISO, not add French as a display language later.

If installing all updates doesn't fix it, try removing the French language and add it again. As a last resort you have to format and reinstall Windows, but this time make sure you use the French ISO.
