Windows update errors

FOUND A SOLUTION. Hope it works for everyone having this problem.

Run the WU Troubleshooter:
Settings>System>Troubleshoot>Other troubleshooters>Windows Update>Run

Let it run, even if it takes some time. Mine took about 8 min to resolve.
When you get the popup window saying things were resolved, just close it.

Now go back to Windows Update. Click on Pause for 1 week.
Now click on Resume Updates, and voilá! All resolved! (y)
Yah, that did it for me. Thanks for braining that!

I just got up, did a few minutes work and then checked it. It looks like I'm OK.
It didn't show any updates to be downloaded or installed and showed I was Up To Date.
I clicked and Check for Updates, and one Intel Extension showed up, but it immediately downloaded, installed it, and asked for a Restart.
After the restart, it said I was up to date.
I clicked Check for Updates again, and got another You're Up To Date display.

Most of us can't even get them to show in wushowhide app. The one time I got them to list they failed when running the hide updates portion.
I wonder if we do a cloud reset, will we encounter this error again?

I should probably mention that most of us were humming along just fine until this mystery outdated driver update problem hit us out of the blue yesterday. It showed up on both my machines one with build 22623.1255 and one with build 22621.1265. I've tired numerous troubleshooting steps with only a temporary moment of success just to have them return. Needless to say I'm not going to extraordinary lengths trying to solve this new MS bug. I would guess MS is well aware of the problem by now and will have a patch hopefully in the not to distant future.

Sign of hope here, my 1255 build machine just stopped showing the outdated drivers on Windows Update. I didn't do any other troubleshooting they just disappeared. The 1265 build still has them, but now have hope it's temporary.

Has any one noticed that they are all "extensions"? First time I've seen extension updates :winkt: Had four of them on the latest dev channel and clicking retry they disappeared even after a reboot. Maybe Microsoft doing something.

I'm puzzled? I turned my pc off last night. Turned it on appx: 20 mins. ago. Took a look at WU and, there all gone? Ran "Check for Updates" 3 - 4 times. -- None showed up. The WU Troubleshooter still has a yellow diamond in the box. I closed it. [I think the message said: run WU again] In the Regestry, as directed above. most of whats in there has zero's. a few has one's. A 1/2 a dozen times I tried to download WU. Nothing. one reboot. and, a look at "Check for updates" None came down. any advice would be greatful for.... Cheers

Actually it's error code 0x8007103 due to the drivers already being installed or incompatible. Keep in mind we don't need or want the drivers as they are outdated. Some of us are getting multiple versions of old graphics driver pushed at us. We just want the updates to stop being attempted.

? It's 0x80070103. At least, that's on all of mine (14 or so w/all the same code) and what pulls up all these related threads over the last couple days.

Worked for me, had the same issues, running 22623.1255 build

Worked for me, had the same issues, running 22623.1255 build
This seems to work today as I just did it on my 1265 build machine. Didn't need the troubleshooter either, just paused updates then resumed a few seconds later and back to normal now.

To check if the solution posted by Asturias, checked my AMD based processor second computer and Windows Update worked fine. Rebooted my main notebook and checked Windows Update without issues.
