Running 21H2 on laptop.
Windows Device security is warning "Memory integrity is off. Your device may be vulnerable" and shows a yellow warning triangle with exclamation mark.

Memory integrity can't be turned on. Windows advises to try resolving "driver incompatibilities". but Windows security can't find any driver incompatibilities. Dell SupportAdvisor also has no updates (Dell G5 5511)

I had thought it might be a conflict with Malwarebytes, but this is now switched off. Windows has had a full scan and found no threats. There is an option to dismiss the "Memory integrity" warning, but I'm reluctant to dismiss without understanding what's going on.

Advice please.

Your PC specs say you have an i5-4690 processor which dates from 2014. This does not support memory integrity directly and the only possibility of doing so is if your motherboard provides support in BIOS whereby the intergity is simulated in firmware. This can cause a performance degradation which is why Windows 11 only supports Intel processors from 8th generation onwards, as these processors have hardware-assisted support.

Which of these non-Microsoft software are or were installed:
a) antivirus
b) firewall

Uninstall any of the above non-Microsoft software using the applicable uninstall tool.

Make sure that Microsoft defender is on.

I've had conflicts when trying to enable core isolation in the past.

Every time, a list of incompatible drivers was displayed when I tried to enable it.

The bad news was that the some of the drivers weren't active, but were present in the Driver Store. Getting rid of drivers from that can be difficult, due to permissions. I didn't thank Microsoft for that helpful "feature".

I've done it, but it has been a while, and I can't recall the details. I hope that a Web search would help you with that.

You can use driver store explorer to remove the drivers.

Or even Microsoft Sysinternals autoruns utility:

You just have to be careful you don't remove a driver that windows requires or you nay not boot.
