Yeah, i was trying to avoid that, that's kinda overkill, but it seems im out of options

Do the basics... which I hope you've already done as a matter of course.

Check your disk(s) - Crystal Diskinfo.. failing disk could be source of corruption.
If ok, run
chkdsk c: /scan
from an admin command prompt to check the file system on your Windows partition.

If those pass, consider attempting an in-place upgrade repair install of the same major build you have now:

(I think that's what the previous post suggests - keeps all personal data, programs of course).

If that fails, prepare for a clean install.

Note: have you been taking precautions which can mean you can avoid a clean install- i.e. have you been using 3rd party disk imaging routinely?
If you have a recent image created before this started, you could restore that.

This is a "known" issue.
Already said that 8655 contains a change of the the CBS-engine. At the start it "suspects" that some CSI flags are corrupt (not packages) it then downloads 254Mb of data to repair things. In the first run it "corrects" these flags. But at a second, third etc. runs it keeps on downloading 254Mb data and repairs nothing while nothing is "corrupt". This downloading is the cause of the long duration. I already notified MS of this issue; they could not explain it either.

On their advice I also reported this in their feedback hub. After that? Silence. This issue is not solved. Since 8655 any update later on also has this issue. It is even around with the latest update of yesterday; Build: 8973. A lot of issues are adressed with this update but did not solve this issue...... They adviced me not to use this /RestoreHealth command but /ScanHealth. Nice. I ran /ScanHealth yesterday first; no errors. Ran RestoreHealth; 151 corrupted CSI File flags. Repaired it and claimed no errors. Any later runs of /RestoreHealth keeps on downloading 254Mb. Makes 2 attempts. The first downloads 254Mb and at a second attempt it also want to download 254Mb again but in the end it downloaded 0 Bytes.... And keeps on reporting; no issues found.

Anyone can check this by examining the CBS.log..... It has some serious consequences; before 8655 it took /RestoreHealth some 4 minutes to run if nothing was damaged. Now with any update after 8655 (including 8655) it takes 14 minutes to run. And nobody was complaining.... I did.

All DISM-commands went fine , after latest update .
Noticed ; my SSD ( with Win11) went from 187 GB to 190 GB ( free space).................wile everything works fine and nothing uninstalled !

Run dism start component clean up and then restart the pc... after this, rerun dism restore health...if it doesn't work, then you have to wait for the next upcoming windows update so as to fix this bug...

As a note;
As this is again a preview update; old packages belonging to 8894 are still there. New packages belonging to 8973 are added. The old packages of 8894 will be removed by the next update.

Well windows update has offered me to fix my installation, downloaded some 25h2 fix installation, and successfully installed it the second time i tried it. Now it seems all good, and no more broken build, now its 10.0.26200.8875

The problem that is mentioned above with the slow restohehealth also exists, mine seems to be donloading Client.OS.rs2.amd64 multiple times across one restoreHealth, according to CBS.log, why or what's the purpose - unkonown. Any case on feedback hub or any public place we could get our comments or like on, so microsoft can get the affected count?

It is not quite unknown; Examining (and after it's checks) the CBS.log shows this;

It simply "suspects" there is something wrong (No!!!) and enters the download stage and downloads 2x; 1st: 254Mb and 2nd: 0 Bytes. This is causing the delay and the longer duration of /RestoreHealth. This is because they made a change to the CBS-engine with 8655. After this update it indeed repairs 151 CSI FileFlags, but any run after this one keeps on downloading again and again.... Reported this to MS through the Feedback Hub. Until now? No reaction...

RestoreHealth is quite quick when there are no issues to fix and very slow if there are many, especially if you have a slow computer or a slow internet.

Normally. But since 8655 there is this issue. Despite nothing is wrong, nothing has been repaired in the end. You can repeat this command 5, 10, 20 etc. times; it always keeps on download. Speed is no issue; I have a very fast PC (with very fast NVMe's) and a 1000Mb/sec connection. The problem lies on the side of MS; their upload farm is slow. Downloading 254Mb from an other source takes me a fraction of second.

Well, maybe a bit more than that. If we're talking real megabytes and not disk manufacturer megabytes, that's actually 266 million bytes.

266,000,000 * 8 bits = 2,128,000,000 bits. Even if you were getting 100% throughput from your gigabit connection, that would be over two seconds. Of course, you don't get 100% throughput as there is protocol overhead involved in transferring that data. Perhaps more like three seconds.

OK, I'll admit, WIU downloads are WAY slower than that.

Mega Bytes!

Download states: Downloaded: 264655887 bytes
This means; 264655887/1024/1024 = real 252,39 Mega Bytes (Not 1000! That is an often made mistake.)
Just the simple basics.

Mb mentioned by disk manufacturers is something different. People say "it's says 1 Tb but in real life it's less..." People don't take in in account that MBR/GPT index also means; it's taking also needed space. A fixed percentage of the disks total.
