The problem in the logs appeared to be related to a printer shortcut path?

I had the same issue. I also tried four times before I gave up. I ended up leaving the the dev channel and reverting back to the beta channel and updated to 22000.176.

Yep, I tried to do that but WU doesn't show the update, and every time I try to download from UUP Dump, when I run the cmd file, I just get an 'Empty File List' message.

have you tried a second download, just to exclude the actual installer you have?

otherwise I can only think some change in the last update is incompatible with your system I have seen it before during beta testing, they change something to cure one issue and it causes a secondary, often unrelated, issue

I also ran some DSIM commands in the Admin Terminal after reverting and before rebooting.

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

I'm not certain which one fixed it because I didn't check the results in between. Easy to do and worth a try.

Thanks, yes I’ve tried several different downloads from WU and UUD Dump. Pretty sure it’s a compatibility thing in this update.

^^This.. and the only other thing I can think of it's a driver issue. I posted a link that shows how to fix the error.. it's the fix to the error that was originally posted.

A driver could be what has changed in this build, maybe they are already aware of it and waiting for the next release. As a check of course a check for updates might download the cure - it is normal practice in the case of bad drivers to fix it and add it to the available driver set and include it in the next update

Printer Drivers installed? from other posts on the web with Errors with MIG Plugin {ff9c714f-b864-4f43-ae39-ec07d7385abe} it is related to the printer, maybe uninstall the Printer and drivers?

So, a new issue. I moved to the beta channel and in Windows Insider Programme options is shows an update is available, but when I go to WU, I'm up to date!
