OS
Windows 11 Pro (Beta Build 22635.3350)
My PC came with A-Volute Nh3 Audio Effects Component (Nahimic 3 APO) included.
Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade this to the newer Nahimic 4?

No one has found a way, apparently. My MSI X570 GODLIKE came with APO3, and when I tried to manually force newer drivers with APO4 they flat out did not work. MSI only has 9057 drivers available on their website, and I've found that Windows 11 installs good enough drivers that work well with Atmos / DTS:X on my headphones, so I stopped trying to install the RealTek and Nahimic stuff after my last 2 clean installs.

When Mokichu was still psoting, IIRC, there was a small discussion about it in which someone said, something along the lines of "no, if your syustem came with APO3 you're locked into APO3" or something like that. I cannot prove otherwise because the couple of times I tried it never worked.

Nahimic APO3 driver is for some 11th gen intel & older (maybe down to 8th or 9th gen intel)
while the APO4 driver is for most 11th gen intel, 12th gen intel & newer systems

only way for you is maybe with a modded MSI Realtek driver from this forum.

Yes, I simply wanted to know if there was a way to uninstall Nahimic 3 and use 4.
Thanks anyhow! (y)

Hmmm. MSI Provides APO3 stuff for my X570 GODLIKE mobo (Zen2 arch, AM4 socket). Last time I cleanly installed Windows, I didn't even bother with the RT drivers from MSI (for one, still 9057, and for 2, Nahimic made Atmos and other spatial audio in my headsets and buds sound badly, I needed to disable one or the other).

Now that I replaced my Arctis Pro Wireless (built in DTS:X support) with the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, though, I might have to try and see if installing the latest RT and Nahimic APO3 stuff for my mobo makes a difference without screwing the audio output.

Sometime. lol.
