Past couple of weeks noticed ASUS motherboard support page that lists drivers and BIOS took away the dates for there drivers and BIOS. This make you have to look through Device Manager and drviers versions to figure out if one posted is newest or not, quite annoying now.

Not sure why they did this !! Anyone else realized it and there thoughts on why they did.

My board as an example

Yep, saw that a few days ago.
Have no idea why they did that.

The whole world is going to h*ll in a hand basket.

3-4 years ago, all the motherboard manuals, went from approx. 20 MB down to about 5 MB.

I've been complaining a lot with ASUS support team about how old are their drivers for laptops, and how we need newer drivers for Windows 11 22H2. I always mention their drivers on their official website are really old.

It seems one day they finally listened to me and removed the dates, so now I can't complain how old are the drivers on their website ¬¬

Sad but true don’t update drivers quick enough or at all, seem to get them faster through windows update or Intel.
But now can’t even tell at first glance on ASUS site, except for BIOS since i know version number by now.

yea that kinda sucks when asus did that

workaround 4 me: download the drivers from asus using a 3rd party downloader tool like Free Download Manager, instead of downloading them from a web browser
(I make sure the "use server time for file creation" option in the downloads section of the free download manager app is selected so that when I download some drivers or bios/firmware update downloads from asus, it will give me the dates/times on when those downloads were posted on their site and not the dates/times when I downloaded them - though it's not an ideal solution)

Really ? Never knew a download manager can give you dates when it was uploaded to a site.

Date on the driver/bios page are now back

Yes, it's back. However, for my motherboard, at least, the driver download page is still listing the wrong wifi and bluetooth drivers.

I have the Rog Strix x670e-a gaming Wifi mobo. It has an AMD/Mediatek wifi/bluetooth card built into it.
Originally, the official Asus site for my mobo listed the correct drivers. But for months now, it's listing drivers for Intel for both wifi and bluetooth, even though the card isn't made by Intel. If you click on "Show all" under the wrong drivers, it still shows the old drivers for the AMD/Mediatek card also, but they haven't updated them since September, though there ARE new drivers for that card. They have posted several updates to their drivers for the wrong Intel hardware, but haven't updated the correct drivers in months.

Someone at Asus has screwed up!

At least if you update your drivers in Armoury crate, it doesn't try to install the wrong Intel drivers. But they haven't updated the wifi or BT drivers there since September either.

Can also try Intel driver Update and Support Assistant works well for certain drivers like WiFi and Bluetooth.

You're missing the point. My board doesn't have an Intel wifi/bluetooth card. It has an AMD/Mediatek card. They're putting the wrong drivers on this motheboard's page on their site, and they're not updating the right ones. I've got another source for the proper drivers. But for the thousands who look to Asus' own website for the right drivers or this Asus board, they're not getting them there.

And if they're messing up with this board, how many others are they messing up on?
