I have recently purchased a HP 15-EG1073CL that is supposed to have a back light keyboard, but it isn't working. I am wondering if this model has this feature. The specs say it does, but I can't make it work. I have tried fn F5 as well as fn F4 to no avail.

Thanks

You could be missing a driver - look in device manager and see if anything obvious.

I have resolve this issue. I had to go into the BIOS/Configuration and change the back light parm from "never" to "30 seconds." Now, it works fine. Why you should go through all this to get it to work is beyond me. They should have the default set to something other than "never." I don't know how someone without data processing experience would know to do this.
