Windows 11 Pro - version 24H2
I have a Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Pro Docking Station that I bought 2 years ago. I connected it to my PC and it seems to be working okay, although I'm not sure all of the ports will charge. I'll check the manual.

The Belkin website refers to a Belkin Dock Utility that I can download to my pc. Before I do that, has anyone heard of that software and what it does?

Belkin Dock Utility is software that enhances the functionality of certain Belkin docks and adapters, primarily by enabling Media Access Control (MAC) address mirroring and managing network interfaces for a seamless user experience. It allows a dock to pass through the original MAC address of a computer, which is useful for networks that require specific MAC address whitelisting for security purposes. The software automatically detects when the computer is connected to or disconnected from the dock, and can also prioritize an Ethernet connection over Wi-Fi.

Oh it's fine. I just realised I had never read the manual. And since my pc doesn't have Thunderbolt, I wasn't sure if connecting the dock to the pc via a usb-c cable would work.

It does. I connected my external drive to it and computer was able to read the data.
