I recently clean installed Windows 11 25H2 on two laptops, one Windows 11 compliant (HP 250 generation 10 with 13th generation Intel Core-i3) and one unsupported (4th generation Intel Core-i3). Both had the same bug. I switched the network to private so I could connect to my main PC (see 2nd system specs) running Windows 11 25H2 to access a shared folder with some utilities I wanted to install without downloading them again. I saw an error and would not open the shared folder. I Googled that error and suggested to enable SMB v1.0 in Windows Features which I did and didn't work. So I then clicked the option to troubleshoot and Windows Help suggested to open a PowerShell as Administrator and execute these two commands which essentially change the way Windows handles SMB sharing:
Once I run both commands I could open the shared folder in my PC. In case that it matters, I have configured my PC to share without requiring a password and I guess new stricter Windows 11 security rules prevented that unless I explicitly allow it with the above commands.
