I installed Windows Store App Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS successfully on my Windows 11 desktop. When I started the app it said "something went wrong" and said to do two Linux commands. Those commands had something to do with resetting. There was no way of doing that in the window, so I closed the window.

I then went to Start>Apps and uninstalled the app. It is no longer on the Apps list.
Now I went back to the Windows Store to reinstall the app and Windows Store which thinks the app is still installed. Pressing the OPEN button below the app listing in Window Store does nothing, so now I'm stuck in trying to fully uninstall.

I tried sfc /scannow. I looked for the windows apps file C:\Program Files\WindowsApps, and find nothing there that looks like familiar. A registry scan found "CanonicalGroupLimited.UbuntuonWindows_2004.2022.1.0_x64__79rhkp1fndgsc" which I think is one of several installed files, but I can't find them in a file search using NirSoft's "SearchMyFiles"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Jim

I have this exact same issue. Did you ever find a solution?
