Cannot update - fails at 96%

I've tried every script, surface test, update troubleshooters with no help. My install fails at the final restart at 96% every time. I've attached the setuperr.log.

The upgrade is trying to migrate Flight Sim resource files from your user account. For whatever reason, it fails at that point.

It's not the FS software, but how much extra data you've downloaded. Did you install other add-on's like more airports, planes, etc.? Those files don't go away when you uninstall FS.

According to setuperr.log, it's looking at files hidden under "C:\Users\steve\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe"

You can't update or upgrade?

I recently had an upgrade issue. The computer was running Win 11 23h2 and I was trying to upgrade to 25h2 by doing an in-place upgrade and it was failing with 0x8007042B 0x4000D error.
The error seems to imply it is trying to migrate some type of Data but cannot. As @garlin found out, a similar to yours.

I've been trying to update for like 6 months with this error. I deleted the directory that you pointed to "C:\Users\steve\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe" and the update went through with no problem. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
