Cannot using the Unallocated Space

During the Minitool procedure,
After Step 3 Take Free Space from and choose the non contiguous space to take free space from. You should then have clicked OK which would have changed the way the list appeared and show you what the result would look like. At this point you won't see the unallocated space any more but the change is not yet permanent. You then have to click APPLY for the change to be permanent. Did you click apply?

(I'm still curious as to why so many partitions!?!?!?) 🤷‍♂️

I thought the same thing. His second disk has 5 on it. Not ideal from a repartitioning perspective for sure.

Not ideal from a Search&Indexing/Folder Structure perspective either! Too many potential bottlenecks.

Of course applied. Now it becomes permanent an unallocated space. The question is it would not be shown up in the extent list if I want to use it for others.

I'm sorry but I do not understand your question. Please post a current screenshot of disk management as it is right now so I can compare it to your previous screenshot. I'll be honest here. Your partitioning scheme is kind of a mess. As I told you in a previous post, it would serve you better to make a Macrium image of the disk. Then restore the image and use Macrium to resize the partitions during the restoral. I know for a fact this can be done as I have done it. You can also manually partition your hard drive using diskpart and then restore your backup, but I see no sense in this since Macrium can do it all for you. There are also other utilities you can run outside the operating system to partition disks before recovery. (such as Easeus Partition Master, Gparted, Minitool, Aoemi Partition Assistant)

Before I discovered that Macrium could handle resizing, I've used Minitool many times, but never to extend a partition into non-contiguous space. I always diligently resized each partition, working right to left, until I got the unallocated space at the trailing end of the partition I was going to extend. However, I have never messed with the system partitions that have no drive letter.

Minitool is an excellent tool for straightforward partitioning, but yours is far from straightforward. The partitions that Windows created that have no drive letter (the EFI and MSR partitions) are between the partition you are trying to extend and the unallocated space you made when you reduced C. Even if we can get Minitool to extend into this non-contiguous space (as it says it can), you are making a situation that is going to bite you in the butt if you ever have to reinstall Windows. I believe the EFI and MSR partitions can be deleted and recreated elsewhere on the disks using diskpart, but that is way over my head. Someone else would have to advise you on that.

You have to understand the rules of partitioning to understand why the space needs to be contiguous in each partition. My advise is to get everything on the disk in the order it was meant to be to save yourself from future headaches..
