Increase space on Windows SSD by using unallocated space on secondary SSD

This is my current Disk Management state:

My C: drive is running out of space (Disk 0 SSD) is running out of space. Fortunately, I have another SSD that has heck ton of free space available, but I used EaseUS to unallocate a lot of it to boost Disk S:'s performance (SSD overprovisioning). I have decided to use this free space from the second SSD to extend the volume of the first one. This way, I can increase the storage capacity of the Windows SSD that is running low on space without having to invest in a new drive. I know there's risks in that if something goes wrong with Disk 1, the C: drive will be affected, but I am ready, as my S: drive is only used to store games.

The problem here is that by vanilla Windows, it doesn't let me to "Extend Drive" when right clicking C: drive, so is there any other way? Perhaps with cmd commands or EaseUS Partition Master? I have the program bought. It suggests to extend partition this way. Is it good way to do it?

From memory, I think there are convoluted ways to make a partition on one drive appear as if it were part of some other drive.

I say convoluted. Probably more trouble than it is worth. I haven't seen anyone attempt it in years.

Look up "striping" or "data striping".

I'd just replace disk 0 with a larger SSD and be done with it.

Hi mate. I believe he is trying to relocate a Windows created partition to another drive? Telling Windows to believe that he hasn’t.

Just create another Primary partition in the unallocated space.
Install games and large programs on that new partition.

I have room on my Windows partition to install everything. But I still install games and large programs on one of my storage drives.

You can't extend partitions from different disks you need dynamic disk to do that.

@Auditormadness9 , I personally wouldn’t do it, but that’s just me. To be honest, I’d invest in a larger primary drive and clone your current primary to it.
I know times are tough and this isn’t always a pliable option.

Then either get a bigger drive for Windows... or move some more stuff off of the Windows partition.

Backups and restores, save your digital life on Windows 11.
The less "used space" on the Windows partition... the faster they are.

Try to keep the "used space" on the Windows partition... less than say... 40GB.

Any opinion regarding the EaseUS's suggested operation that I posted? Is it worth doing that? Or what does it do in general. Don't want to risk unwanted results.

Windows with all drivers takes up 32Gb for me.

It does not matter which partition tool you use, your goal cannot be completed.

No way would I extend my SYSTEM partition onto another disk. In all honesty I did not think it could be done. Even if it can I still wouldn't do it.
IMO it makes more sense to move stuff off of C: onto the other drive.
If all your games are located on S: (which is out of space as well) What on your computer is taking up so much space on the C: partition. Is it your personal folders?
If so, as long as the data in these folders resides in C:\users\yourusername\foldername AND NOT IN ONEDRIVE you can easily move your personal folders to the other drive.

Create a new partition out of the unallocated space. Then move your personal folders to the drive letter assigned to the new partition.
Once you create the partition Create a new folder for any that you want to move. For example, if you want to move Documents,Downloads, and Music.,create folders named as such in the new partition. If you want to move ALL your personal folders create new folders with exact same names in the new partition.

Then use Option #1 or #2 in tutorials to move your personal folders to a new location. The bat file method is easiest but then you have to manually move the files yourself.

For many reasons... it's bast to keep the Windows partition all in one piece.
Windows 11 has enough trouble... making it through the day, without you helping it to break. :-)


My Windows partition is 35GB.
Takes me 1.5 minutes to do a backup or a restore.
