Can't boot to BIOS, Blank Screen

My Windows 11 Pro PC just died while doing a restart. Now I can't boot up into BIOS. I tried shutting down 3 times to get to the recovery environment but no luck. I tried booting up with my USB recovery drive but just see a blank screen. I bypassed the GPU(Asus GT-730) by using the MB HDMI port directly to the monitor and I still get a blank screen. The menu system on my ASUS VS247 works fine and I have no reason to suspect the GPU card since I disconnected it and reset it into the PCI-e slot just to be sure.
If I don't have video output from either the GT-730 or the HDMI port, I suspect something has died on the Mother Board. I am at a loss at this point, any help would be very welcome. I just updated my system info also for Windows Eleven Forum.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS and draining the power supply?

Remove the CMOS battery on the ASUS Prime (Don’t forget to replace the CMOS battery when done)

Turn off the computer
Unplug all the cables from the back of the computer (especially the PSU power cable)
Press and hold the computer case power button for 20 (or more) seconds and then release it to drain the flea power (static electricity.)
Reconnect all cables back again and turn on your computer.

I assume press Delete or F2 to enter BIOS.

Are you hearing the BIOS Beep when booting? If not, would likely be a motherboard issue. But then again it could also be the CPU or RAM. It’s a tough one.

I believe your motherboard has a HDMI (and Display?) port. If the above doesn't give the system a jolt, try removing the GPU and connecting the monitor directly to the Motherboards HDMI (or Display port)

Try turning the computer OFF... then re-seating the RAM.
Sometimes loose/dusty RAM can cause black screen like that.
Re-seating the RAM may fix the problem.

Did you remove the GT 730 while trying to use the onboard video?

If not, that may be worth a try.

Another thing I'd try is clearing the CMOS.

Your system specs are inconsistent. The ASUS Prime z590-P is an LGA 1200 board. Maybe 10 years newer than an I5-2500K, which is LGA 1155.

Thanks for the reply antsplants & ghot. I will give those suggestions a try. I did remove my GPU card before connecting to the HDMI port directly but there was still no video. I have also removed the C: drive(SSD) and tried to boot into BIOS but no-go. I will report back after I have tied the CMOS battery and the power drain ideas. Also, no BIOS Beeps during boot-up just the fans coming on. I probably should have updated the BIOS a long time ago. I believe it's the original BIOS.

Probaby a dumb suggestion, but disconnect your video cable. Turn off your monitor. Turn it back on. Do you see the Asus flash screen? If you do not, I'd try another monitor

what did you do if anything with the computer, before the issue?
did it run ok after the win11 upgrade?
did you have any usb devices plugged into the computer beside the keyboard and mouse?
you can pull all the other usb devices (if any) and just leave the mouse and keyboard plugged in and try.
let us know when you can what happened after all the suggestions.

After checking the CMOS Battery and resetting the 4 Memory modules, the PSU seemed to stop working(no fan, no lights), the main power button on the front chassis doesn't light up as it did before. I checked the +5V and +12V cables going to the MB with a VOM meter and I don't see any voltage. I may have an old PSU I can substitute as a test. I'll be looking for my old PSU tomorrow and report back.

You have 4 8GB memory modules?

Take 3 out, test the one left in the board.
Repeat for all of them to rule out that one isn’t faulty

Found a old Antec 500W PSU which is way short of the current 850W Rosewill PSU so I ordered a new one on Amazon and I will wait until it arrives in a few days before starting the major dis-assemble re-assemble process, Almost like rebuilding the computer again. Also, since the Rosewill PSU is modular, I would prefer not to try and install a non-modular PSU just for testing.
