Phone Change Ringer Mode on Android Mobile Device from Windows 11 PC

This tutorial will show you how to change the ringer mode on your Android mobile device from your Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC.

With the Phone Link app on your PC linked to your Android phone, you can instantly access the Android apps installed on your mobile device right on your Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC. Using a Wi-Fi connection, Apps allows you to browse, play, order, chat, and more — all while using your PC’s larger screen and keyboard.

If supported by your Android phone, you can directly change the ringer mode on your Android phone on demand using the settings below in the Phone Link app on your PC.
  • Volume on = Sound is turned on and vibrate mode is turned off for the mobile device.
  • Volume off (silent) = Sound is muted and vibrate mode is turned off for the mobile device.
  • Vibrate mode = Sound is muted and vibrate mode is turned on for the mobile device.

Option One

Change Ringer Mode on Android Mobile Device in Phone Link app


1 Open the Phone Link app on your Windows 10/11 PC.

2 Perform either action below: (see screenshots below)
  • Press the Ctrl + Shift + V keys to toggle the ringer mode between Volume on (default), Vibrate mode, or Volume off.
  • Click/tap on the Volume button at the top of the left pane to toggle Volume on (default), Vibrate mode, or Volume off to the sound mode you want.

Option Two

Change Ringer Mode on Android Mobile Device in Settings


1 Open Settings (Win+I) on your Windows 11 PC.

2 Click/tap on Bluetooth & devices on the left side, and click/tap on Mobile devices on the right side. (see screenshot below)

3 Under Mobile devices, click/tap on an added phone (ex: "Brink S23+") you want to manage. (see screenshot below)

Mobile devices you added will not be listed if Allow this PC to access content and capabilities from your mobile devices is turned off.

4 Under Controls, select Volume on (default), Vibrate, or Silent in the Ringer mode drop menu for what you want for this phone. (see screenshot below)

5 You can now close Settings if you like.

Shouldn't you mention that this only works for certain android devices? Unfortunately my Moto doesn't have this capability as well as some others.
