Recently (from the Command Prompt), I've tried getting Windows to do a chkdsk c: /f /r /x scan on reboot.
It gives me a message, asking me if I want to press a key to skip within about ten seconds, otherwise it will proceed to the scan. I wait for it to start, but it doesn't. Instead it fails and goes to my log-in screen.
Any ideas what could be causing this please ?
Thank you.
