When I got my new Laptop, I logged in with a Microsoft Account, [email protected] and a strong password. Eventually I started with a PIN, sofar so good. Thought about a Passkey but gave up.
Now when I attempt access, it shows my name and picture but gives outlook_a long string of numbers.com instead of my gmail.com email.

When I find it.
I believe that is an account alias in your Microsoft account. You should be able to sign into your MS account and set the primary alias to your email address

Login using 3rd party email creates a fake Outlook account, which can cause various issues.

All my email accounts are Gmai except 1, its a hotmail.com which I use to access my 25 GB onedrive files.
I have 1 gmail account which I use to login to my PC. and also to access my Gmail. Both had separate passwords and all worked well.
The Gmail half now has a passkey. The other half uses Windows Hello Pin I think but not exactly sure.

When I find it.
This is what I got when I tried to login to my MS account, it was tried by using my gmail account plus code from Google Authenticator.
My gmail address was removed from my image but when clicked, I brought me back as in my image.
