Solved Dell laptop. Is there any reason NOT to have automatic BIOS updates?

I love having a top-of-the-line Dell XPS laptop computer with an incredible OLED screen. I've worked hard to be in this position in my life. I can now buy what I want and not be concerned with the price.
Lovely machine, if I could afford it I wouldn't hesitate to order one!

I bought a XPS 15 9530 not long ago to replace a XPS 15 9550 that I had for 8 or 9 years…best laptops ever and I have had many from many different pc makers….

No, what you said was simply rude and insulting.

I don't really blindly buy into brand fanism otherwise I'd have another asus
It isn’t “fanisim”
If you buy something that works for you (like your ASUS) then there is no reason not to buy another. This continues on until you buy a dud and either switch brands or switch models of the brand you like. “Fanism” (whatever that is) has nothing to do with it.
Why would you discard a brand if you’ve found nothing wrong with it? It’s just a totally ridiculous, reactionary viewpoint.
The question “Why would you switch brands if you’re happy with one” would be more fitting.
As for the price, who cares. Some of us are in the position to splurge. Hard earned, clever planning.
Calling someone who is clearly competent (the username should tell you something, let alone his posts) a sucker isn’t very nice.
No hostility intended 🙏
