Desktop right click

Evening everyone,

Do any of you have any trouble when trying to rename a file by right-clicking it?.
As soon as I try to type in a new filename, the file is selected instead, and then opens - still without actually being able to change its' name...

Right-click? I've never used that to rename a file. Click on it to select it, wait 1 second and click on it again. Now type its new name. I've been doing it that way since at least Windows 95.

Not just you! It's totally ridiculous, especially when I want to delete something, which is about the only way I use it.
Highlight it. Shift + Delete + Enter It's gone.

What about on a file that's inside a folder or library?.
I have tried The right click on several different files and folders and it works as it should. There is definitely something wrong with using a mouse in Windows 11 for some of us. For me the right click works but I do have problems using the scroll wheel. If I use the left mouse button to scroll it work OK. I hope the mouse bug gets fixed soon. I'm not surprised that MS released Windows 11 to the Beta channel this week. What does surprise and disappoints if that the didn't release a new update for the Dev channel. IMHO releasing Windows 11 to the Beta channel with the same build number as the Dev channel was OK. I feel that they should have moved the Dev build to the next update and a new build number at the same time.

Leave the mouse alone and use the keyboard. That's why it's there.
I still remember how excited I was when I bought my first computer that came with a wired mouse.
