My current PC, Vostro 270s is bought as second-hand in 2020 and when I digged up the PC, I noticed that this thing was bought by the seller on 2016, and it comes with Windows 7 Home Premium (with an unused key) in 2016, and I bought it cames with Windows 10 Pro (a different key shows in ShowKeyPlus, so Yay!) can't run Windows 11 by being have an 2011 processor, only DX9 support, and no TPM 2.0 support (even 1.2).

I need an 3000 USD (or 145,635.51 PHP) to buy system components and build my own PC, so I can upgrade it and be happy.

I actually just updated my rig a few weeks ago. Nothing to fancy this time around.
Figured I would do a nice solid budget minded build to carry me through for a bit.
At least until the pc parts price and availability issues settle down a little bit.

It actually turned out quite snappy and is a nice upgrade from my rig in pc 2 specs.

I decided to change my plan for my laptop. Sometime today I'm going to make a Macrium Image and see if I can do a upgrade install over the Windows 10 Insider Build.

My plans have changed.. I'll just upgrade the processor from the Ryzen 3 2200G to the Ryzen 3 3200G. It's the affordable way to go.

My 2 year old HP ProBook will support W11 but my reserve 2014 Dell laptop does not according to MS - although I have W11 running on it by devious means.

My desktop PC from 2012 has an unsupported CPU and TPM 1.0 for which TPM modules are unobtainable. I was planning to upgrade it this year with something like a GigaByte X570 Aorus Ultra and AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. However, I'm now going to wait until W11 is released and see what W11 certified motherboards are available in 2022.

My system meets Windows 11 requirements as it stands now so my short answer is no planned upgrades at the moment.

That said, the only upgrade I've been looking for is an AMD 6900 XT GPU. Hard to find one of those at the non-scalper rate.

Have you updated the BIOS to a version that supports the 3800X? (Of course you have; if you're here, you're an enthusiast.)

Hey, only a 50% markup on eBay. Lowest in months.

Since I'll probably never upgrade again... I've decided just to water and fertilize my computer, in the chance that it will upgrade itself.

nVidia offers its latest drivers for the 750. Those are WDDM 2.1.

In terms of performance, the 750 isn't terrible. It's supposed to be roughly equal to a GT1030. GTX 750 vs GT 1030

1) I don't buy electronics off of eBay. 2) And a 50% markup is still too expensive for me.

I know COVID has also caused supply issues, but I'm also hoping both AMD & NVidia address the bitcoin issue that's making it near impossible for gamers to get a new card. Pretty much if you don't get a new card when they are initially released you're screwed

Yep, did that before I ordered, having checked with the motherboard supported CPUs.

It arrived early, this morning in fact, installed and up and running in around 10 minutes, it now passes both win11 tests.
and compared to the Ryzen 5 1600 it's flying.

When Vista arrived, and the hardware that came with it just did not run it adequately, I took an excursion into the realms of Linux for a year or two, spending very little on new kit until Windows 7 appeared, keeping XP as a trusted workhorse, like many other people did. I think that history is repeating itself, and I may just take the same route, again. Windows 10 will do me for the next 3 years easily, as XP did back then. I am ready to build some new hardware system(s) as soon as the holdups and backlogs in the fabrication plants and the supply lines become normalised again. I think that 11 may not have the appeal that it's makers think it deserves. It's certainly moved insiders to the outside, imho.

I have Windows 11 installed on my VM in my main system and on a hardware install and running just fine. Waiting for the insiders release to fix some bugs but no big deal. Happy! Posting from the VM.
