Solved Do you have an PC upgrade plans??

For my laptop which is already enrolled as Dev Channel, it meets the requirements. I have another box that is kind of old, but I need Windows 10 too on one device due to clients, so I would not upgrade it anytime soon.

For both of you, the tool has evolved a bit more, and newer versions also check your WDDM support, too.

1 system out of 5 here isn't 11 capable. That's my Insider Beta Channel machine. Bringing it up to par would mean replacing the motherboard, CPU and memory as well as likely having to buy a new Windows Pro key (now OEM). I'm not sure I want to invest about $500 just to beta test for Microsoft.

Perfectly understandable - and even more foolish to consider since you have 4 others already on it....

Besides, Microsoft is releasing 21H2 so it's good to have a holdover.

nVidia offers its latest drivers for the 750. Those are WDDM 2.1.

In terms of performance, the 750 isn't terrible. It's supposed to be roughly equal to a GT1030. GTX 750 vs GT 1030

I have a GT 730. Both GTX 750 and GT 730 are Kepler based. On 457.30 Drivers I have WDDM 2.7 (Which is supposed to latest on 21H1 ?)

Yes, 2.7 - might have been a typo?

Win11 and latest Win10 Dev (21390) push that to WDDM 3

Well just got my CPU for my next upgrade today, memory should be here in a couple more days.

I'm going to upgrade both of my desktops. Just for grins one will be an AMD 5800, the other an intel i7 in the US$400 range, whatever that might buy me. I also plan to use the PCIe x4 NVMe drives for boot/system, probably in a 1 or 2 TB size. 32 or 64 GB RAM and yada yada yada. I'll be recycling my GeForce 1070 Ti cards, until 3070s drop down to the US$500-600 level. Sigh. --Ed--

Yes it is Jeff ...and the motherboard it will be installed on is made to do one thing mainly ....Over Clock everything.

Nice... I wish I could get a Ryzen 5 3600 but my budget will not allow it. I have 2 cats and a girlfriend to look after.

nope not upgrading my pc

i need to save up for a new card instead.
i will keep my old pcs on insider dev until rtm. then try rtm if a hack comes out to run it. if not then back on win10 rp ring until 2025. then ltsc until 2029. so 2030 maybe upgrade.

i have a surface pro 3 and this pc

A78M-E35- motherboard

AMD A8 6600k APU
8gb ram
2tb sata hard drive
gtx 760
2 portable 3tb hard drives

windows 11 runs great on both

I just upgraded my CPU and mobo a couple months ago. I was getting 5 beeps at startup now and then, which showed in my mobo manual as a CPU error.

Turns out that the 3000 series of Nvidia cards will cause your machine to beep 5 times if your monitor isn't turned on when you boot your PC.

Wish I'd known that before spending the money.

No upgrades planned for me aside from eventually getting another 2-4TB NVMe PCI-E Gen 4 drive in my other motherboard slot. The PC was build in Dec20/Jan21.
