- New audio drivers package type have been added to the thread :

Hi everyone,

@ ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards users : SS3 becomes obsolete and was discarded by ASUS.

To switch from legacy Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) to Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) you have to follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process (for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process).

What are the correct audio drivers for the Asus x670e Crosshair Hero?

Hope this isn't a terrible question or one that's been asked too many times. What would the differences between just installing the drivers from my mobo's manufacturer's page as opposed to following your guide and using your drivers. I have a B650E-F and don't seem to have any issues other than when I change the "Amplify Level" setting under either Speakers or headphones, it' always resets to Extreme, even tho it reads as another setting. I'm wondering if your drivers might resolve this issue? Thanks in advance for any info or help, much appreciated!

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC40xx codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) or Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS Legacy) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Yes, I can confirm, I have Asus B650E-E and using that driver, Asus B650E-F have the same audio chip on board so you should install that driver also...

@ ASUS ROG SS|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards (ROG Strix Z790-A/E/F Gaming WiFi II, ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero/Apex Encore/Formula or more recent) users :

You can only use/install Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) from the first post of this thread (SS3 being EoL, there is no more SS3 since the refreshed ASUS ROG motherboards with ALC40xx codec with Intel Z790 chipset for the Raptor Lake Refresh CPU launch, or newer motherboards).

If you have any issue with the last Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) drivers package : CLEANUP process then install/use the audio drivers package from your motherboard support page, if your issue persists contact ASUS Support.

@ ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards users :

- If you have an issue that occurring with the last audio drivers from your motherboard support page (and therefore that it is not specific to the last audio drivers that I offer) : Contact ASUS Support.

- If you have an issue that didn't occurring with the last audio drivers from your motherboard support page : CLEANUP process then install/use the last audio drivers package from your motherboard support page.

hi I have now Rog Crosshair hero x670. I did followed the clean-up process thoroughly and was able to install it but sonic apps say the driver are not installed properly or unsupported. When I had Strix x670 motherboard ,it used to install without problem. ( and yes I installed Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) ). If I checked the drivers in driverexplorer, everything seems to be installed but what do u think is gone wrong with sonics apps?

Also know that there will be no more new Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS Legacy).
