Windows 11 - Release Preview channel
I'm receiving an error "driver cannot be loaded" when I try to run a program I have installed. My searches relate to this being a possible conflict with Core Isolation/Memory Integrity but even after disabling Core Isolation and Intel VMX in the BIOS this error persists. I've tried reinstalling the program with VMX disabled and same deal. I'm at a loss. :confused:

Which version of the Asrock RGBA driver do you have installed?

That driver is known to have a lot of vulnerabilities.

You could start by letting me know which Asrock motherboard you are using. It is hard for me to tell where and with what name to start looking as i don't own an Asrock motherboard

I'm not using an Asrock motherboard. I'm just trying to run the Asrock Timing Configurator tool on my system. It's Asrock Timing Configurator 4.0.9 (latest ver).

I don't think you should be running that tool on a foreign board.

Just the Timing Configurator. It is an Asrock tool but it seems to work with lot's of motherboards. Hundreds of people run the tool.

Ok, I read up more on the TC-tool. It should be safe to run on any board as it just reads stuff...but it does not make sense it needs that AsrDrv102.sys though...

Check all your installed Apps, I don't think that driver should be on your system as it is supposed to be a low level driver for RGBLED control. Asrock installing other bloat behind your back?

Ok, I just installed the Asrock TC from official source. No issues with any drivers.

There must be some other Asrock tool installed on your system too. Uninstall it.

I have Patriot Viper M2 SSD RGB, Patriot Viper DRAM RGB and Universal Holtek RGB DRAM installed. I think the Patriot ones normally install with Asus AURA but I'm not sure about the Holtek one. I definitely don't have anything else Asrock installed but I did try installing several versions of the Timing Configurator tool.

Holtek is an Asus addon for Dram RGB, should not have any Asrock drivers installed.
Which versions of the TC did you try to install? Starting from the oldest?

Are those the drivers for Timing Configurator or something else? Are they the drivers with vulnerabilities?

Yes those are the ones you should get rid of. If you now go and delete the 2 files manually and then delete the 2 entries via Autoruns, the issues should be gone.

You could also try to uninstall the drivers using pnputil in the CMD

Once I delete these am I free from the vulnerabilities in those drivers? Do you think they installed with one of the older Timing Configurator's?
