I am getting error "The backup drive is not attached." on Windows11 using Casper 11 64 bit. I installed new plug znd play Seagate external drive.

Is it looking for a different drive letter than the drive letter of the USB drive? For example, is Casper 11 looking for a drive D: and the USB drive is drive E:?

I get a similar message sporadically about the history drive being disconnected but I never set it up so just ignore/close it.

Press the Windows Key +X and choose Disk Management.
In the lower pane, which drive letter is your Seagate Backup Drive?

If every time the computer reboots, the drive letter changes, Then you can right click the drive here and choose
Change Drive Letter or Paths. Choose a Drive letter lower in the Alphabet like S: or whatever. the drive letter will remain the same, even if you remove the drive and replace it later.
You will have to reconfigure Casper to backup to the new Drive letter.

If you still have problems, download DiskGenius, or Crystal Disk Info from my signature, select the drive and view the SMART Info. This will tell you the health of the drive. If it is any less then Good,, the drive needs to be replaced.
