Error while trying to get backup

I get this error often. After a few online updates to my Windows , when I try to create backup I get this error. It prevents me to take Incremental or differential backups. Is there a solution to this problem ? I use macrium reflect

I'm not sure I recognize that interface. What application are you using to create this backup?

This usually happens because of one of these:


  • The full backup file is missing or was moved/renamed since the last incremental ran, so Macrium can't locate the full image to append to.
  • A partition included in the original backup no longer exists — e.g., a drive was reformatted, resized, a partition was deleted, or a USB/external drive with that partition isn't currently connected.
  • Drive letter or disk changes — Windows reassigned a drive letter, or a new disk was added/removed, changing which partitions Macrium sees.
  • The backup set is corrupted or incomplete (e.g., an earlier backup was interrupted, leaving the set inconsistent).
