Mine is opposite. The left accommodates only M2030 drive and the right doesn't have ample space for a M20-M80 NvMe2. Both can only have m2030. Cause it's corei7 11 gen?

Oh.. I doubt you'll notice any difference between the slowest and fastest. There are many factors that go into the performance of a PC and just upgrading one component isn't a guarantee that you'll notice a difference

Bottom line,, if you want to replace or upgrade the drive.. do it.. but it's a cost you really don't have to incure. I have a Samsung 860 Evo and my PC boots fast and the drive works just fine. You don't need the best hardware to have a good PC.

For example RAM.. if you don't have the right settings in the BIOS it's just going to run at the default.. and that might be slow.

@Alexey2912, If you're mind is made up to install another SSD, keep the OS on the original 2230 drive and buy a 2280 drive to use as your data drive. Even if the 2280 drive is faster you won't be able to notice any speed difference. I do hope you're not planning on another clean install. :cool:
