File explorer cant extract multiple rar files

Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2(OS Build 22631.4890)
Exactly what the title says. If I have 10 rar files in my download folder,
I highlight them all then click extract all and it only extracts the first rar file but not the rest.
Why? I have Winrar Pro latest installed if that makes a difference.
I used to be able to do it in prior versions. Seems to be a recent issue at least for me.

My windows version at least using my system settings update section heres what Im running..

It's much the same with .zip or .7z compressed files, a process has to be accomplished with each in creating a folder to put the uncompressed files in. The 'rule' since back in days of DOS, a drive/partition or folder cannot contain 2 or more files or folders of the exact same name, complicates things. When the first in a list of files has been done the process has ended, has to be restarted with the next, then the next, etc.

IF, you were able to do it in previous versions... it might be some hidden WinRAR setting or preference or option.
Go though the WinRAR settings with a fine tooth comb. It may be in there.

I don't think you could do it in previous versions though. If it didn't extract one at a time, things could get really messy, really fast.

Yes I used to be able to highlight, right click, extract all and it would extract all. Yes I know it seem like it could be messy in that folder, but the type
of folders I am extracting its ok, thats what i want to happen. Thanks I am going through Winrars settings now. Ill let you know if I find it.

Hi, I just stumbled across your post looking to do the exact same. I know this is a dated post and hope you have already figured it out, but if not, here's the answer for anyone else looking to do the same. Open WinRAR, in the main window, navigate to the directory that has all of your .rar files. Press Ctrl+a to select all, or hold control to select all the ones you want to extract. After, just press the "Extract To" button and select your destination. It extracts them all to the destination of your choice. In my case, it worked on all 707 .rar files!

Awesome thank you very much. No I didnt really get into trying to fix it after my post as sometimes these things become so daunting to try to find a fix its not worth it. But I appreciate your post and answer and fix.
