FN key on my 800 keyboard

I have a Windows Wireless Keyboard 800 and cannot find the FN key.
Bottom left is Ctrl, Win, Alt
Bottom right is Ctrl, (unknown but does not appear to be3 FN), Win, AltGr

At present, the F keys are not responding as I expect in Excel.

What are they doing?
What do you think they ought to be doing?

Please post a picture of your F keys.

Please check your Bios for an option to switch the F keys between F key uses & 'multimedia' key uses.
Please check your PC maker's built-in utilities for a utility to switch the F keys between F key uses & 'multimedia' key uses.

Not interested in multimedia keys.
I have just gone back to Microsoft Word and a few years away. The F keys are not all working the same as they did.

Is there an F-Lock key? If not then you might try a keyboard mapping program to make another key act as the Fn key.

F keys are still stand alone. When on your desktop with nothing open, does pressing f5 refresh?

I was asking questions that were intended to help diagnose the problem.


Your keyboard does not have any switchable keys so it does not have or need an Fn key.

I suggest you post an example of a function key you press in Word and what it does together with what you thought it would do.

It is not the same keyboard!

You have taken this keyboard (I made it having the same size for better comparison):

The keyboard you are showing has extra keys for sound functions above the normal function keys.
The keyboard @janey6 is showing does not have those keys.
The function keys fysically are smaller , there is one extra key right to the F12 key.

Edit:
I found out what the difference is:
You are showing the MS Keyboard 600 I have the wired version of that keyboard)
OP is showing the wireless keyboard set MS 800.

I can't exactly see if there is some key to switch the function keys, but I don't think so.
