That's all I really want, a "visualizer".
I use Audacity to record whatever song I like from youtube, and export them as .mp3.
I spent my "formative years" in electronics with old Textronix o'scopes.

When I was searching for the best music player for Windows, I checked MusicBee, MediaMonkey, Foobar, and most of the other programs recommended in online articles.

It was an easy decision for me because MusicBee stood out as an easy pick over the rest. The only thing missing is playlist sync over WiFi.

I bought the MediaMonkey Pro edition just to check that feature out and it turned out to be an absolute mess. Foobar was actually a surprise recommendation because it was nearly not as good as the two above.

I bought MM Pro for my Android which is good.

On my PC, I like simple..., it has to play music and look like a gorgeous piece of furniture residing on my Desktop! :wink:

I disagree. MM Pro for Android was ugly and non-functional, atleast when I tried it a couple of years back. So bad was the experience that I didn't even give it another try for so long.

I prefer function over form, so aesthetics become a consideration only after the product has some excellent working features.

MusicBee for Windows and PlayerPro for Android have some neat functionalities not available with competition. And MusicBee is highly customisable too.

It is a good music player. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it doesn't have a clean interface. Too many things cramped together. Although as a music player this isn't such a big deal, I didn't find anything with this app that is unique.

PlayerPro doesn't have a nice interface either. But it has something unique that none of the competition has: Smart Playlists!

You don't need a Desktop Music Manager to create smart playlists. If your audio file has the required metadata (or tags), this player allows you to create smart playlists effortlessly. You can simply download/ copy your audio files and this app will put them in the correct playlists for you. :)

Yeah, I observed that too!
Although, to be honest, once I click on a folder or playlist, I rarely interact with the UI..., I'll negotiate the selection via my ear buds, or just tell Google Assistant to skip a track, etc.
