They asked that because you said that you won't use any type of Android device, so from a smart phone perspective that pretty much leaves you with iPhone...which is Apple.

Clearly, this isn't always a practical solution... there are a few too many dependencies to have to keep dealing with if choosing to go this route IMO, and IME.

Finally, the combination of having multiple different folder copies of Firefox Portable with the AllowMultipleInstances=true property and Sandboxie-Plus with multiple different sandboxes lets me achieve maximum flexibility. That is, in terms of security, privacy, AND being able to run multiple different configurations/setups concurrently alongside each other. On Windows it also is possible to set a portable browser as the default browser, and, Sandboxie-Plus also has a Force Folder setting to be able to force any program that exists in a folder or list of folders to always run sandboxed.

As an aside, for performance reasons in Sandboxie-Plus settings I have pointed some of the sandbox locations to a ramdisk. Specifically, Romex Primo Ramdisk with SCSI and Direct Memory Management (DMM) in Compact mode. Sandboxie-Plus users who choose to make a small donation can now get a certificate that will enable ImDisk integration, but ImDisk is still nowhere nearly as good as the Primo from Romex. Primo adds wings to internet security IMNSHO.

I'm so glad that you made reference to sandboxie-plus, because frankly I'd never actually heard of this software up until now. At least for me it's like opening up a whole new world of running various software for me.

I love all the anti-chrome rhetoric by the vocal minority lol.

Chrome is by far the most used browser on pcs (67%). Don't you think if it was that poor, or insecure, the media would be screaming blue blazes?

Personally I only use it as a backup to Edge these days but do use it when Edge throws a wobbler.

That's right, we don't trust MIcrosoft, we don't trust Google and we don't trust Apple.

I've now used Edge(Chromium) exclusively for the past two years. Could you tell me what Edge does for you when it "throws a wobbler"?

Just once in a while, some website does not work properly e.g. you click on a pulldown menu and it will not accept a reply. Fairly rare but happens no and then.

The Nokia 8110 4G aka the Matrix phone is still a pretty cool dumbphone, though. lol
