How to Block McAfee and their Relentless Ads

Cancelled McAfee Eons ago and had conformation of doing so.. I use the Outlook Mail App.. and have been getting Advertisements from McAfee whenever I open an incoming email.. McAfee is relentless , I have no need or desire for them to handle my business.. Help

uBlock Origin is available for Chrome based browsers. If you use a Chrome based browser that does not have its own extension store you can install extensions from the Chrome Store.

In New Outlook which now is just called Outlook.

1) In the first line message Ad click on the 3 dots > Ad Choices, and make your choices.
If fake/scammer > Report.

2) Outlook > Settings Gear > General > Advertising preferences, make your choices.

3) Waft mouse over right hand side of Ad line a Red bin should appear > Bin. Though this will not last forever. Just the one session.

3) I get no Ads within an Email.

McAfee was installed and used on my Laptop for the trial period and removed the usual way > Uninstall, then MCPR tool.
I don't recall the last time I have ever seen McAfee appearing.

really? is there ads inside the email client software? 😮
i would ditch that email client in two seconds and switch to another email client... as there should not be ads inside a program.. in some Freeware software i can get there is some ads.. but paid software.. darn..

Why do you make this assertion? What do you prefer to use?

I agree that McAfee ads are relentless, but I think a lot of them are really malware. Why McAfee and not Norton, say? I dunno.

Why on earth these days would anybody want "Mac Aweful" anywhere NEAR their computer -- it's an old C20 solution which even back then wasn't very good.

Just get rid of the entire thing. Incidentally these days you don't need any extra A/V software at all on Windows (at least for HOME computers) - Current version of Windows Defender is more than sufficient. Home users are more likely to be scammed than suffer computer infections / trojans even when using those "Other sites". One thing though is always be very wary of ever downloading .RAR type files - historically these have often had nasty "extra payloads" incorporated into them.
