How to put a cap on memory used per app or prevent memory leaks?

Ever since I installed win11, I keep getting memory leaks from Google Drive for Desktop. What can I do?

You can't control how much memory which app can use.

Have you tried reinstalling the Google Drive or updating the app.

it*s probably not a memory leak but a well-intended memory cache for your drive files in order to access them quickly.

OP's specs say 32 GB of RAM.
15GB for Google Drive... is a memory leak, or something weird.

I don't use Google Drive, so I have nothing to compare to, but that seems... excessive.
The two biggest usages of RAM on my system are Firefox and Bitdefender, and together they only use 700MB.

My entire system only uses 3.2 - 4GB of RAM, on a daily basis.

From what I've just been reading, I see two things over and over.

1. Restart Google Drive
2. Be selective about "what" you sync. Don't just sync everything.
3. Also, in some cases, consider what other users might be syncing as well.
