How to wake laptop from hibernation via USB keyboard

Is there a way to do this?

My laptop keyboard seems to have the Power Management tab in Device Manager.

But my generic usb keyboard does not

It needs to be enabled in UEFI BIOS first. The exact setting depends on your BIOS. Maybe something like Wake up event Setup -> Enable Wake on USB device .

Is that a wired USB keyboard or a wireless USB dongle keyboard?
The wired type should wake up the laptop but I don't think the wireless type would since it needs bluetooth and BT would be in hibernation at the laptop end.
Pressing the laptop power button briefly should wake the laptop up so you don't need the keyboard for wake up purposes.

ya its an old school wired USB keyboard.

Wired to a hub.

The hub has a firewire connection to my Framework laptop.

Hmm... maybe that's the issue. Maybe i got too many hubs in the way.

it seems like the Power Tab should be there tho...

its already waking from the laptop keyboard though.

will i find a setting in my bios that lets me wake from a usb keyboard plugged into a hub?

Why are you fixated on using the keyboard to wake up the laptop?

Because my laptop is in a sound isolation acoustic box to avoid fan noise on the microphones.
weird issue i know

Might not be possible

it seems to wake from SLEEP though. But not HIBERNATION

That's your problem if the hub does not have external power. Always use powered hubs.
