Windows 11 Pro 23H2
And I've read so many issues with 25H2. I have the .iso ready to go but I'm apprehensive about upgrading my system. I've been with 23H2 for so long and it so stable I'm not sure. Should I upgrade or stay with 23H2. I don't want to get screwed over by MS. You know what I mean. Your thoughts?

Image your current install and if you don't like the results of updating, you can switch back.

I'm still on 23H2 and it won't update. I'm missing out on some features, but, it's pretty much bug free.

I have no problems with 25H2, but I de-bloated the heck out of it.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
If you don't have issues and don't want the fluff MS throws in 25H2, just block the updates and be HAPPY you didn't have to deal with the problems.

Then... you can upgrade to 25H2 and see if you like it.
If you don't just restore from a 23H2 backup.

Windows 11 version 23H2 (Home and Pro editions) will reach end of support on
November 11, 2025. After this date, these versions will no longer receive security updates, leaving systems vulnerable.

I use Rufus for my setup and also use OOSU10 to control Win 11.

My most unstable (and not excessively, but I had some few BSODs in spring) Windows 11 has been 24H2. 25H2 is the best I've had, very smooth and stable, quick for being a fanless Celeron.

I have my laptop on 25H2 and have no problems and I have tweaked the heck out of my laptop. However, I did a clean install of Windows 11 (Pro) 25H2.

Windows 11 25H2 was released to the public back in September 2024. I have been running it for a few months before that. Bugs are fixed with every update.
You never hear of the Millions upon Millions of users that have upgraded to the most recent version of Windows like 25H2 whose computers are running fine.
You only hear a handful , in retrospect, of users that have problems.

This is pretty much true for any mass produced product. It is relatively rare for someone to comment on how well something is working unprompted.

    YA! This the old backup. In case things go south. It'll give me access to everything I need.
Due to a laptop failure, I had to clean install 25H2 - worked perfectly. It was 24H2 that was the issue. There are a lot of settings to go through though after install. I do leave Windows updates turned off a lot though ............ As in, don't install them straight away.

Running Windows 11 25H2 with no debloating and no tinkering using 3rd party system tuning utilities on two computers and it purrs along happily on both PC's.

I'm still on 23H2. The biggest problem is that this version no longer receives updates through Windows Update (unless you have the Enterprise or Education version). The last update I received through Windows Update was in November 2025, but I'm considering manually installing the subsequent updates that have been released for 23H2. When 23H2 no longer receives updates in any way, I guess I'll have no choice but to jump to 25H2 or whatever is available.
