Hello all. I'm experiencing an odd glitch where drop-down menus within explorer will intermittently have fully transparent backgrounds. It's happening whether the transparency feature is enabled or not. This screenshot shows the issue when I clicked on the "View" menu.

Hi OAT. Yes, my PCs are Win10. The machine in question is a new laptop for my son which is Win11 Home, v23H2, OS build 22631.2506.

I found a Reddit thread with some people talking about what sounds like the same issue. No mention of a fix or if the issue is being addressed.

I had the same issue a while back on the Canary channel..., it eventually disappeared with subsequent Builds. 🤷‍♂️

We've only had the laptop for about a week. Numerous updates installed since we set it up. Most recently, it got the 23H2 upgrade.

I briefly installed ClassicStart which creates a Win7 style start menu and launcher. I noticed the issue while that was running and thought it was being caused by ClassicStart so I un-installed it. This issue remained so I ran sfc which did find some corrupt files and fixed them but that didn't solve the problem.

I think we can call this one resolved. There was an Intel graphics driver that needed updated. Seems to be ok now.

Thank you for the replies! (y)
