There has got to be a way to broadly change the default applications the way you used to be able to, but I've been searching and haven't found much on this. I'm sorry, it's just way too aggravating this way. I keep trying to set Waterfox as my default browser and it's just like ignoring me. I have *.html, *.htm, etc all set to use Waterfox in the `Defaults` section. I really just want to be able to set VLC for `Videos`, Waterfox for `Browser`, etc. I don't need that specific level of control for this. If I want to associate a file type with an app later on I'll just right-click and do so, but I want to be able to quickly get up and running after an install and I'm finding that setting defaults is taking much more time than I think it should.
Any ideas? Advice? Thank you!
