I installed KB5031354 through this link

Microsoft Update Catalog
The installation completed OK
ImageAs the problem could not be solved, I decided to Install the latest version thru the installation assistant, it finished without any problem.
The Windows version is OK

BUT...

In Windows update the update appears as pending, and it tries to install it again and again.

It is annoying,

Every morning the PC tries to install the mentioned update, and after a while, it says that there is a problem and it makes a rollback, which takes about 20 minutes.

After that, the problem persists.

I tried to Hide the update using the wushowhide.diagcab tool but that update does not appear as eligible to hide.

Can somebody help me, please?

There must be a hack to override this!
This is the second message I place and nobody seems to know the way to fix this.

See deleting Windows updates cache will resolve the problem, you can use the attached batch script to do so.

Can you go back to 22h2 version and try to update Windows.

The KB5031354 is the Security Update from October and updates the system to 226x1.2428
According your screenshot you run 22631.2428.

The 2nd screenshot shows that you try to install KB 5031455. That is just an optional update.

Wait for the next security update on Tuesday. It will contain everything you need.

In case you got this error 0x800f081f your component store is ruined.

You are not alone having issues with this update. MS is aware of these issues and - reportedly - said that it will be fixed by update(s) to be released on the next 'Patch Tuesday' - 14 November.

His first screen shot showing KB5031455 installed correctly on 4 Nov. So why does the 3rd screenshot show it attempting to install again?

Do you have a System Restore Point to before this happened?
If so, use the restore point to go back a few and then use the "Pause Updates" for about 2 weeks.

If you don't have an older Restore point to test as Flashhorn suggests, perhaps pausing it until the 14 (4 days) might not be a bad idea.

Also, did you try the WU reset from our tutorial that I posted in #7?

go to TheWindowsClub, get their troubleshooter Fix11 and try the WU repair tool built in that.

Today is the 14th. Delay Windows Update for a day and see what happens tomorrow, I suppose.

Or, you could try manually uninstalling the update that you manually installed and let Windows Update handle it if WU is going to be that persnickety lol.
