I have a Medion Laptop that uses Windows 11 24H2 installed.
When I boot up to the desktop and check for messages or open Word to a new page I find that I cannot type any words, and at times will not copy and paste or write a reply.

I end the task and restart, I then find I can type, copy and paste as it as back to normal. This has happened a few times.

I am at a loss as to why this has happened and how to resolve / fix the problem from reoccurring as it's a pain.

I cannot afford to purchase another as being a pensioner sucks when it comes to buying another computer.

Any help on this is appreciated.
Thanks

Try running this tuneup.bat file. You will have to unzip it first.
When you run the file it can take a long time to complete since the DISM 'restorehealth' part can take a long time. Yesterday on my two devices it took about 90 minutes.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll be running that Tuneup sometime tonight. Hopefully it will find and fix the issue. Cheers.

I forgot to add that you will need to restart your laptop after running the batch file.

You might be able to find something in Event Viewer that took place at the time the keyboard stops responding?

Open Event Viewer:
- Press `Win + X` and select Event Viewer.
- Alternatively, type `Event Viewer` in the Start menu and open it.

Navigate to the relevant logs:
- In the left pane, expand Windows Logs*.
- Click on System to check for hardware-related issues.
- Click on Application to see if any software or drivers are causing the issue.

Try applying filters for relevant events:
- In the System log, look for Event IDs related to device errors (e.g., `7026`, `41`, `56`).
- In the Application log, check for any errors related to keyboard drivers or input services.
- You can use Find (`Ctrl + F`) and search for terms like “keyboard”, “HID”, “input”, or “driver”.

Check Critical Errors & Warnings:
- Look for red Error or yellow Warning icons.
- Double-click on an event to see details such as timestamps and affected components.

Investigate Driver Issues:
- If you see events pointing to HID Input or keyboard-related errors, check Device Manager (`Win + X > Device Manager > Keyboards`).
- If the keyboard is missing or showing an error, try updating or reinstalling the drivers.

You only listed your laptop as a Medion Akoya. You didn’t specify the actual Medion Akoya model which should be under the laptop.

Also, it says in your system specs that you’re running Windows 10?
