To be honest, I can't remember which versions had the EXE and which didn't as the EXE version seems to be the regular version while the Device Manager route is supposed to be for IT administrators so it's easier to update. But ofcourse the EXE is only available when Intel decides to release them officially on their site as the others can come from Windows Update and may have came from using DriverStoreExplorer to export it.

This is my problem. I didn't have the initial issue last time, but it's not working now, even though my internet is functioning properly.

Hmm, what model of the Intel card do you have because I read the following elsewhere:

Note: From the release 22.220.0 package onwards, this software no longer includes drivers for discontinued wireless products: Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 and Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265.

Only the official released version will have 2 versions, one with the installer and one that is a zip which is for IT Admins to install which is similar to this one. This one appears to have came via Windows Update so you have to use Device Manager to update. As @johnlgalt had mentioned in another thread, if it had a installer, since these are not officially released by Intel yet, you won't know what the installer actually does but it's safer when it's just the drivers without the installer anyways.
