 NVIDIA App

Release Date: April 16, 2026

What's new in NVIDIA App 11.0.7

New Updates:

  • DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation Available Now
    • Update to DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Frame Generation on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Select “Dynamic” mode to intelligently adjust the number of generated frames during gameplay to a target frame rate to balance frame rate, image quality and responsiveness.
    • New DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation 5X and 6X modes on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs increase 4K frame rates in path-traced titles. Paired with NVIDIA Reflex, they generate additional frames with minimal impact to responsiveness.
    • DLSS 4.5 Frame Generation model update on GeForce RTX 50 Series and GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs enhances in-game user interfaces by incorporating additional engine data available for some games, improving visual quality and clarity of static user interface elements.
    • For optimal image quality and peak performance when using ShadowPlay, the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver is required.
    • Access these DLSS features under Graphics > Program Settings > Driver Settings > DLSS Override - Frame Generation mode
  • Automatic Shader Compilation (Beta)
    • Rebuilds DirectX 12 shaders while your system is idle, reducing the frequency of game runtime compilation after driver updates

New NVIDIA Game Ready WHQL driver 580.88 version released. See first post for more details. :alien:
Still fails with black screen when installing on Canary Build 27913.
Had to install while connected with RDC to bypass the problem with Canary.
No problem installing on 24H2 and 25H2 builds, it only fails with Canary, the problem has been going on for several Canary Builds.

It might not be of any help to you but I just installed Game Ready WHQL driver 580.88 on Canary without any issues.
As always, I perform a clean install, and install only the graphics driver.
I don't have a Dell, so maybe it only affects Dell machines, either way thank you for reporting it on the hub.

Nvidia only tests on released builds and not with insider builds.
Anyway, I think this is a MS problem specific with Canary. They had this same issue before.
My Dell machines have both Nvidia and on-board Intel display adapter. No idea if that makes any difference.

Anyway, I have the same issue if I do a clean install of the driver only.

I've got problems on my laptop with 580.88.

Every time I reboot, the display brightness is very dull and I have to go into Windows 11 brightness settings and turn it down lower then back up again to regain the full brightness level.

This Reddit thread also mentions brightness issues with 580.88.
I guess I'm the only one that gave up on new NVIDIA drivers and just stick with the stable Dell Support site drivers. They may not be the latest and greatest but they are stable for my machines and don't cause bugs and issues. Last time I tried a direct NVIDIA updated driver my machine couldn't wake from S0 sleep mode and would BSOD. Soon as I went back to the factory driver all was well again. The Dell Support lady scolded me for that as well lol. I had been one of the doubters until I experienced it myself now I'm a believer in sticking with the manufacturer drivers. At least for video drivers that is.

The concern with using older drivers is vulnerabilities.
Latest security bulletin from July states anything below 577.00 is at risk.

BTW- Dell does not make the Nvidia drivers they just repackage the installer but the drivers and other files inside the installer are all from Nvidia.
Setup.cfg and setup.exe and other files are the same files from Dell site or Nvidia site.

I have unpacked the latest Dell driver package and it is just the Nvidia 573.24 driver package which are at risk at this point.

I tend to stick with studio drivers but that was also what borked my new systems sleep mode so now I tend to just stick with the manufacturer graphics drivers. I've noticed these NVIDIA drivers keep coming fast and furious but it seems like they keep bringing more and more issues with them. Just browsing this thread would seem to confirm that.
