Let's install Windows 11 on incompatible hardware

Murphy's Law. While the installation was finished and it was about to load the OOBE stage where you create the account, the host computer had a BSOD because it was busy in the background and probably out of RAM. I was remotely controlled it via AnyDesk so there was nothing I could do until I returned home. I don't have time right now to play with Windows 11 26H1. I will check it later and post again.

You can run all Windows 11 versions, so what was failing? Probably trying to upgrade a corrupted 21H2. In that case, when you cannot fix it, backup all your files and do a clean installation.

Setup usually fails when it tries unsuccessfully to install drivers for a device or an update. If you block these, installation should proceed successfully. Also to avoid logical disk errors when doing a clean installation, delete all partitions and leave the disk unallocated before starting installation.

I said when doing a clean installation. In your case, trying to upgrade, all you need is to disconnect other disks (if any) or disable them in Device Manager, disconnect from the internet (disable the device in Device Manager or remove the cable for Ethernet) and then run Setup with the server parameter. I see your computer is not very fast, so don't use it during the upgrade to make it faster and avoid any application accidentally interfering with the upgrade. Especially dangerous are third-party protection applications. Disable them until next restart or even permanently. You can enable them afterwards. Last thing you want is the antivirus scanning every single file Setup tries to copy and slow down the process, or even worse, interrupt it.

Why install an experimental version? You can install the standard 25H2 version and then the 26H2 Enablement Package to switch to 26H2 if you want to have the latest standard version. However l, if you have already installed the experimental 26340.xxxx version you can't return to the standard 26300.xxxx version. You have to do a clean installation or keep using the 26340.xxxx version. I also see it might be an ARM64 ISO, not suitable for Intel/AMD CPU systems. You need the respective x64 ISO.

Download Windows 11 from official Microsoft website.

Scroll down and select the third option, download the ISO directly and select the same language as your current Windows system. Or use the Media Creation Tool (second option) to download the ISO matching the language of your current Windows version (language must match if you want to upgrade keeping both your data and apps). The MCT ISO contains only Home and Pro versions and is build 26200.9445, while the direct download contains Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations, Education, Pro Education but is currently build 26200.8037, it is not updated too often. However you can upgrade using that build and then run Windows Update to reach latest build, currently 26200.9457 for 25H2 or 26300.9457 if you switch to 26H2 with the 26H2 Enablement Package, see this thread:

The correct 26H2 Enablement package for Intel/AMD PCs running the standard 25H2 is KB5121794 x64 version (file Windows11.0-KB5121794-x64.msu)

For Intel/AMD PCs running an Insider's build of 25H2 is KB5122776 x64 version (file Windows11.0-KB5122776-x64.msu).

For computers with ARM64 CPU download the respective ARM64 version from the thread link above.

Back to my experiment with Windows 11 26H1 on a virtual machine from post #3260...

I selected my region, I selected my keyboard layout and proceeded to the Network screen. I thought the workaround to create a local Administrator account might have been removed as in the standard version 25H2, but I wanted to try it anyway, so I disabled the virtual ethernet adapter to make sure the virtual machine is offline and then pressed SHIFT+F10 to open a Command prompt. Then I command executed the oobe\bypassnro which to my surprise worked, it is not removed as in standard 25H2 ISO. It enabled the option to create a local Administrator account and restarted the virtual machine. I had to repeat the configuration but this time at the Network screen there was the blue "I don't have internet connection" text! I clicked on it and allowed me to create a local Administrator account instead. More when I use 26H1 and post again.
