Let's install Windows 11 on incompatible hardware

You need to use the ISO to do an in-place upgrade/repair installation of 26H2. Your PC has too many issues.

.msu file takes a lot of time to install.
Let it finish, don't interrupt it and don't turn off the computer. If it is successful install 26H2 Enablement Package to switch to 26H2. If not download the 26H2 ISO and do an in-place upgrade/repair. Two birds with one stone. You will repair your computer and also upgrade to Windows 11 26H2.

I want to stop ✋ this .msu file, someone on Google search says, it took for him 24 hours to install.
I like your suggestion, in place/ repair upgrade with yesterday officially released 26H2 ISO with server method would be best.
I have already downloaded 26H2 b 26300.9550 ISO.
Please send me instructions again or post installation instructions here on how to do an in-place
Upgrade repair.
It’s ok if you are busy and don’t want to post instructions.
Thanks 🙏

For upgrading an unsupported computer, disconnect from the internet. Stay offline during the whole process. Mount the ISO (open with File Explorer). It will create a virtual DVD drive with the contents, check This PC to see the drive letter. Say it is D. Search for cmd and open it as Administrator. Run this command:

D:\setup /product server

This fools Setup it is about to install a Windows Server product for which by default skips compatibility check. Don't worry, it will actually install standard Windows 11 Home or Pro depending on your current product. Proceed with the upgrade and don't connect to the internet until complete.

OMG, people please stop giving and taking mixed signals, and commit to one attempt at a time. If it takes a day...so what...installing a CU or doing an in-place upgrade from ISO is almost the same thing. It will take as long as it takes. I once had some beta build crunching an update for days, before it installed. Most often and normally it was about an hour for these builds though. Not sure what was going on with that particular update but it eventually succeeded.

If it works, then great, if not, then one can try something else.

It is generally safer to install a cumulative update rather than doing a full upgrade with the ISO. That's why I suggested to try letting the update finish first and only if it doesn't succeed to do an in-place upgrade/repair using the ISO. As for the time it takes, the installer probably checks some system files and repairs/replaces them. That's why it is not that fast. Yesterday I upgraded my wife's Windows 11 compliant laptop from 26H2 26300.9457 to 26400.9550. It seemed to finish when I saw a message "working with the update" or similar. This took over 20 minutes to complete and finally show the update installed. Of course I wouldn't dare interrupt it and screw Windows! My wife would kill me. I wouldn't like to spend time late in the evening trying to fix it, let alone having my wife complain to me the whole time.

I just installed the 26H2 Enablement Package on my main PC (2nd system specs) and switched from 25H2 to 26H2. I then installed the optional update to build 26300.9550. So far so good.

With ventoy, it’s just copy and paste, but with Rufus one has to format their usb everytime they prepare a new bootable iso. Rufus is time consuming.

You don't have to dedicate the whole USB flash drive with Windows 11 Setup. I have a Windows 11 USB with drivers and utilities and other files. Similarly for Mac OS and Linux.
